Positioning systems from the modular system for the all-rounder “laser”

As all-rounders, lasers have opened up a wide range of applications in industrial production. The technological key to this diversity lies in the laser's special ability to both remove and build structures. Lasers enable both subtractive and additive processing processes and have become an indispensable tool in tool and mold making, as well as in the automotive industry and medical technology.

Diversity on a solid basis

The design variants of laser processing machines are as diverse as the possible applications of the laser. Implementation as special machines is often mandatory. This can have different reasons: Often the upstream or downstream manufacturing process is not supported by series machines. Or the required performance and quality features cannot be realized economically in series machines.

For numerous customers from different industries, Föhrenbach pursues a successful strategy for the economically and technically sophisticated design of precise positioning systems for laser applications. The basis is a consistent program of proven functional modules. From these, the tailor-made machine solution, consisting of mechanical positioning technology, coordinate tables, drive and control, is configured according to the modular principle. Many years of experience in precision mechanical engineering combined with specialist knowledge in laser technology ensure harmonious overall systems.
